For this line of wine labels, I drew inspiration from a sun and moon theme, incorporating captivating gradients reminiscent of an American artist's work who paints gradients. Extensive research was conducted to ensure compliance with legal requirements for wine labels and to study effective label designs in the market. The design process involved creating sunrise, sunset, and moonlight themes for chardonnay, rosé, and sauvignon respectively, resulting in cohesive and eye-catching packaging that stands out on shelves.
Multiple variations were explored, with a focus on refining the initial concept to ensure legibility and visual appeal from a distance. Adjustments were made to colour thresholds and drop shadows were added to separate the gradient rings, enhancing the overall design. The 3-D rendering process, although time-consuming, contributed to visualizing the project's entirety and achieving a satisfying outcome that blends creativity and functionality in wine packaging design.
