The Ontario tourism campaign project was undertaken with the goal of bolstering tourism within the province, primarily targeting Generation Z travelers. The campaign strategically showcases Ontario's diverse attractions, from outdoor adventures to cultural events, aiming to inspire young tourists seeking novel experiences. By focusing on this demographic, the campaign aims to reignite their passion for exploration and position Ontario as an enticing destination offering thrilling adventures, tranquil retreats, and enriching cultural encounters.
As part of a group effort, I contributed to various aspects of the campaign, including the logo, mural, and poster designs. While the original project was collaborative, I undertook a personal "remake" to refine and expand my contributions for portfolio enhancement purposes. This involved creating additional elements such as a brochure, social media ads, and website design, presenting a cohesive campaign across multiple mediums. Adapting design elements for different platforms while maintaining consistency and visual appeal was a significant challenge that provided valuable practice and skill development.
The project's execution involved utilizing my original mural and poster designs as foundational elements, building upon them to create a cohesive visual identity across all campaign materials. The brochure design particularly stood out as a rewarding experience, offering an opportunity to refine skills in a less familiar format. Despite challenges such as adjusting website typography and layout, the project's successful completion underscores my ability to manage complex design projects and deliver professional-quality outcomes.
